White Water

Regular white water trips are run to all Victorian rivers and beyond.

A trips calendar is published early in the year so that people can plan ahead for major trips, but most day or weekend trips are organised via e-mail, a week or less in advance to take advantage of recent rainfalls and good waterlevels.

Beginners and novice paddlers are catered for with a regular series of white water introductory trips on rivers such as the Yarra River, often lead by qualified Instructors. Heated pool rolling nights are also regularly run.

Some of the favorite Victorian white water rivers are the King, Thompson, Barklay, Howqua, Delatite, Mitchell and Snowy rivers.

While the paddling season runs through Winter and Spring, the club has activities for all the year round. These include beginners' trips, Eskimo rolling nights, river rescue courses, beach surfing, gear trial days, and skills improvement in rodeo, canoe polo, Ocean beach surfing and river paddling.

Never get lost, use a WHCC river map.
