Whitewater Canoeing
Regular whitewater trips are run to all Victorian rivers and beyond.
A trip calendar is published early in the year so that people can plan ahead for major trips, but most day or weekend trips are organised via e-mail, a week or less in advance to take advantage of recent rainfalls and good water levels.
Beginners and novice paddlers are catered for with a regular series of whitewater introductory trips on rivers such as the Yarra River. Heated pool rolling nights are also regularly run.
Some of the favorite Victorian whitewater rivers are the King, Thomson, Mitta Mitta, Big River, Barkly, Howqua, Delatite, Mitchell and Snowy rivers.
While the paddling season runs through Winter and Spring, the club has activities all year round. These include river paddling (where there is water), beginner trips, pool rolling nights, river rescue courses, and beach surfing.
Never get lost, use a Whitehorse Canoe Club river map.
