Once you start paddling bigger rivers, you need to be able to eskimo roll. Swimming's not that fun after a while, and rolling gets you back onto the fun stuff.
There are a number of options for practising your eskimo rolling.
1. Jimmy's Rolling Night.
Generally the first Friday of the month at Don Tatnell Leisure Centre Cnr Warren Road and Brisbane Terrace, Mordialloc.
Conducted by members of the Scouting Association South Metro Canoe Team and Whitehorse Canoe Club, who are proud to volunteer their time to foster the development of safe water activities. Money paid goes towards funding water activities and equipment for youth and adults in Victoria.
Practice only - *Members $15 Non-members $20
With instruction - Members $ 45 Non-members $55
Two sessions: 7pm and 7.45pm.
